on what she loves most about being a mom
Watching their faces light up from a sweet little surprise. The tight squeeze hugs that make all the burdens in life just seem so small in comparision. The proud expression when they accomplish something they have been working hard to achieve; and even teaching the lessons and comforting when they haven't got there yet; the deep conversations about life and dreams; the random silly expressions where I just wish I could know what's going on inside their heads; the family movie nights; the kitchen dance parties; the corny jokes that take forever to get to the punchline; more things that would take my whole life to mention, but that I am thankful I get to spend my whole life experiencing with them.
advice for fellow mom-photographers/small business owners
I am still figuring it out as I go, but keeping Jesus and family at the center of my business is the foundation to building a business I love and am proud to grow.
We are all in different seasons in life. Sometimes being a mompreneur looks like drawings on the walls and feeling like a juggling clown in a circus. But we are building something for both ourselves as individuals, as well as being a role model of resilience and ambition for our children, and that in itself is success.
